General Purpose of Job

The Director of Technology ensures the streamlined and secure operation of the IT unit in alignment with SECO Energy's business objectives. This role plans, coordinates, and directs IT-related activities while providing leadership and administrative direction for the daily operations of the IT staff. Working closely with departmental decision-makers, this individual will identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective, strategic technology solutions across the organization. Additionally, the Director will establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to support SECO Energy's goals and maintain high standards of technology management.

Requirements

Education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Job-related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Experience

Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in a broad range of information systems, platforms and IT management, preferably within the distribution electric utility system or related industry. Five (5) years of IT management experience. Other Requirements

Ability to work irregular hours for assignment completion and flexibility to change scheduling and report to work on short notice during emergency situations. Normal work hours will be eight (8) hours Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Successful completion of pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
