ASSYST is seeking an Audio Visual Support Analyst to join our client's team as an Audio Visual (AV) Support Analyst. In this role, you will provide hands-on support for AV systems, delivering seamless technical assistance for meetings, events, and productions. The AV Support Analyst will manage, operate, and troubleshoot AV systems on-site, focusing on live and hybrid event support, video conferencing, and projection systems. This role will work directly with client's staff, IT technicians, and contractors to ensure a high-quality AV experience across various settings. Job Title: Audio Visual Support Analyst Location: Laurel, MD Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and maintain AV equipment for studio, live, and field productions, including projectors, sound systems, lighting, and microphones. Operate advanced AV systems such as multi-camera setups, soundboards, and digital lighting for high-quality AV production. Provide real-time AV support for on-site, hybrid, and remote events, ensuring smooth AV performance and rapid troubleshooting to minimize disruptions. Assist in setup and support for hybrid and virtual event platforms, including live streaming and video conferencing systems. Perform regular equipment checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality. Collaborate with IT technicians, contractors, and integrators to resolve AV system issues. Work closely with event producers, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate AV needs, manage equipment logistics, and ensure setups meet technical specifications. Handle physical setup, breakdown, and transport of AV equipment, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds. Work efficiently under tight timelines to ensure AV systems are fully operational and tested before event start times. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of general AV support experience. Specialized experience with AV technologies including soundboards, projectors, video cameras, lighting, and video conferencing tools. Experience with Microsoft Teams Room is a plus. Proficiency with audio mixers, microphone setups, and portable audio systems (e.g., DJ kits). Knowledge of Dante audio networking for digital audio routing is a plus. Competency in slide projection systems and control software. Familiarity with AV equipment integration into classroom and event spaces is beneficial. Experience setting up portable AV equipment for events, including speakers, monitors, and microphones. Ability to safely lift and transport AV equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
