ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Supervise all full and/or part-time box office personnel.
Train staff on ticketing system and other aspects of ticket operations.
Assist in the supervision, training, and motivation of employees.
Prepare payroll time records for box office personnel.
Prepare work schedule for part-time employees.
Assist in communications with promoter(s), Director of Finance and Director of Marketing to obtain updated event schedules and provide ticket sales information.
Set-up ticketing and coordinate sales for events in the Main Hall and Vault
Coordinate the house sale for all ticketed events while supervising tickets sellers.
Directly responsible for vault funds, cash advances, promoter advances, and denominations needed for ticket sales.
Coordinate ticketing and settlement in absence of the Box Office Manager.
Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Position requires ability to:
Recognize and solve related problems efficiently and rapidly while handling a large volume of tickets and cash.
Operate computerized ticketing system (Ticketmaster: Archtics, TM1 and Host) and a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software.
Work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy workload that can present stressful situations.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Ticketmaster experience required.
High school diploma, G.E.D. or vocational training and a minimum of three (3) years experience in planning and supervising the sale of tickets for a variety of events in a large recreational, sports, entertainment, or other public assembly facility; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
