SUMMARY The Estimating Coordinator will actively support and collaborate with the Estimating Team in meticulously reviewing project plans, requirements, and specifications. The Estimating Coordinator will be accountable for executing precise quantity take-offs and assertively engaging vendors and subcontractors during the bidding process for construction projects. Moreover, the Estimating Coordinator must possess a strong grasp of construction principles, adeptness in reading project plans, and proficiency in quantifying bid items. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Review project plans, requirements, and specifications Download and properly save all project documents Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs Perform vendor and subcontractor solicitations via Smartbid system for all bids assigned Assemble vendor and subcontractor quotes for all bids Review quotes and estimates with the project Estimating team Perform assigned post-bid tasks Performs other related duties as required and assigned REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture is preferred 1-3 years experience estimating construction projects Advanced computers skills with MS Office (Word, Excel) Knowledge of construction costs and construction principles Familiarity with some aspects of horizontal and infrastructure projects preferred Well organized, personable, flexible, detail oriented and multi-tasked Prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines while constantly changing tasks and demands Excellent written an oral communicator Experience with Agtek preferred Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
