PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT

About the Role: The Property Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for a real estate portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, specifically within the real estate industry. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 1. www.salary.com www.salary.com Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts. Process accounts payable and receivable. Prepare and file tax returns. Maintain fixed asset records. Analyze rental income and expenses. Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience in the real estate industry preferred. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
