Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Trauma Surgery in Redding, CA

A Level II Trauma Center is seeking a trauma surgery nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage. In Redding, California, you can enjoy the stunning outdoors by hiking the scenic trails in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area or exploring the picturesque Sundial Bridge. The clinician will be covering the PM shift (3 p.m. to 1 a.m.). They will be supporting the one trauma surgeon on call and responsible for monitoring, managing, and discharging all of the patients on the trauma service. The procedures include low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). There will be high-risk procedures: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement. Dates Needed: Specific dates December 31, 2024 - February 28, 2025 Case Load/PPD: 20-25 patients, daily patient census on Trauma Service.
