Director, Industrial Facilities & Construction We are currently seeking a Director-level talent who will lead a team of direct reports and provide leadership for cross-functional teams, including external contractors in planning and construction of greenfield expansion projects, operation and maintenance of our new, vertically integrated finished vehicle manufacturing complex located in Casa Grande, AZ. The Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive construction strategy aligned with Lucid Motors' overall business objectives. Provide leadership and guidance to the construction team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Lead the strategy for plant MRO spare parts storage and tracking Facility Management: Manage the Building Maintenance and Facilities organization for the multi-campus areas within the Lucid Manufacturing Complexes in Arizona. Project Management: Oversee the planning, design, and construction of manufacturing facilities, offices, and infrastructure projects. Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in project execution. Lead development of Central Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Vendor Management: Develop working relationships with 3rd party resources and issue and maintain necessary maintenance contracts. Identify and engage with external contractors, architects, engineers, and other service providers. Establish and maintain strong partnerships to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of construction projects. Manage contract negotiations and performance. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in construction management. Implement and maintain robust health and safety protocols. Interface with appropriate representatives of local, state and federal agencies Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage construction budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. Manage the capital expense budget, evaluates project RoI's, monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Environmental, Health & Safety and Finance teams, to ensure seamless integration of construction projects with other operational functions. Drive effective communication and coordination across departments. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles during construction projects. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines, costs, or quality. Implement appropriate risk management strategies and contingency plans. Collaborate with leadership of the facility security and environmental, health & safety (EH&S) teams. The Requirements Minimum 10 years of Manufacturing, Maintenance or Construction Engineering experience 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity in an engineering function Proficiency with equipment & process planning, budget management, and simultaneous engineering activities Exemplary verbal and written communication skills Preferred: Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification Knowledge about plant operating metrics Previous experience in related roles within the automotive manufacturing industry Education: Undergraduate degree in an Engineering field of study or equivalent related work experience in lieu of college degree Work Authorization: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
