Job Title: Composite Technician I (2nd Shift) Location: Chatsworth, CA Status: Direct Hire Salary Range: $19.50 - $22.50 per hour, DOE (Includes a 10% shift differential) Shift Hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Must be available to train on 1st shift for 3-4 weeks) Company Overview: We are an engineered solutions provider specializing in advanced materials for high-reliability applications across industries, including Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing, Medical, Aerospace, Defense, Industrial, Electronics, and Energy. Job Summary: The Composite Technician I will interpret work instructions to process composite materials accurately, inspect components for quality, and ensure compliance with cleanroom standards. This role involves handling polyimides, sealants, fiberglass, metals, and other composite materials within the Lamination department. Key Responsibilities: Interpret work instructions and drawings to determine materials, tools, and processes for each product. Inspect materials for quality and accuracy according to the Bill of Materials (BOM). Maintain cleanroom standards to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) protocols. Perform lamination setup and monitor cycles, addressing potential mechanical errors. Use microscopes and measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to inspect work. Prepare documentation for nonconformances and report findings to the Production Supervisor. Collaborate in continuous improvement efforts and assist in training peers. Required Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and work instructions. Basic math skills and computer literacy (Microsoft Office). Familiarity with basic measuring devices (rulers, calipers, micrometers) and hand tools. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in composite layup, cleanroom environments, and knowledge of AS9100 standards. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Quality inspection, and materials handling. Education & Experience Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or five (5) years of work experience. Minimum of one year of experience working in a team environment. Physical Requirements: Fine dexterity with both hands and vision capable of viewing small objects at close range. Ability to stand for the entire shift, climb stairs, squat, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs.
