Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Civil Project Superintendent to manage large-scale infrastructure projects in the Tucson area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing complex civil construction projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on site. This role involves leading field operations, coordinating teams, and working closely with the project management team to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage day-to-day operations on heavy civil construction projects, including roadways, utilities, earthworks, and more. Supervise, lead, and coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met. Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and meets the client’s expectations for quality and safety. Foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Conduct daily site inspections and quality control checks to maintain the highest construction standards. Work closely with project managers to track project progress, manage schedules, budgets, and resources. Provide leadership and resolve issues on-site, ensuring smooth and efficient project execution. Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and other necessary project documentation. Manage and coordinate the use of equipment and materials to ensure availability and proper maintenance. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Heavy Civil Project Superintendent, managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects. Strong background in supervising construction crews and subcontractors. In-depth knowledge of heavy civil construction processes, safety protocols, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience with project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.) is a plus. OSHA certification and other relevant safety certifications are preferred.
