Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction | Waco, TX Overview: I am seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversea heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, roads and earth-work for a leading general contractor in the Waco, TX area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed safely,on time and within budget. Qualifications: 3 years of experience in managing construction projects exceeding $20M in highways, bridges, roads or earth-work projects. 3 years experience with TxDot projects. Moderate to high proficiency operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. Valid driver’s license for frequent travel. Proficient in verbal and written English communication. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to physically maneuver minor obstacles at construction projects by foot. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Responsibilities: Schedule Management: Oversee project schedules and adjust timelines as needed. Travel: Conduct occasional travel throughout Texas and daily travel around the job site. Project Ownership: Manage the Project P&L, ensuring projects are executed successfully and within budget. Safety: Ensure all projects are executed safely and maintain a positive safety culture. Personnel Management: Supervise and direct personnel, including selection, training, and development. Owner Relationship: Maintain strong working relationships with the owner or their representative. Project Planning: Plan and execute work according to project specifications and contracts. Conflict Management: Anticipate and resolve project conflicts. Subcontractor Management: Select and oversee subcontractors and suppliers. Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to team members and project staff. Field Activities: Oversee field activities to ensure efficient project progression
