Position Overview The Inside Sales Representative (Supplies) is responsible for generating new business and managing relationships with existing customers by selling a wide range of supplies/products. This role requires a dynamic, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth. Key Responsibilities Sales Generation and Account Management Proactively prospect and generate new sales opportunities through phone calls, emails, and online platforms. Maintain and expand relationships with current customers to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Qualify inbound leads and respond promptly to customer inquiries. Achieve or exceed individual sales quotas and targets. Create and deliver sales presentations to potential clients. Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to close sales effectively. Product Knowledge and Solutions Maintain a deep knowledge of the company's product offerings, industry trends, and competitors. Understand customer needs and recommend the right products and solutions based on their requirements. Provide product demonstrations and technical support when necessary. Work with product managers to stay updated on new product lines or changes to existing products. Customer Relationship Management Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business. Provide excellent customer service by responding to questions, resolving complaints, and offering solutions to problems. Collaborate with internal teams (customer service, logistics, etc.) to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolution of any customer issues. Sales Reporting and Administrative Tasks Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software. Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, including sales forecasts, pipeline management, and progress towards goals. Participate in sales meetings and strategy sessions to discuss performance, customer needs, and new sales initiatives. Market Research and Competitor Analysis Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new business opportunities, and customer preferences. Monitor competitors’ activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly. Qualifications Education & Experience: High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in inside sales or a similar customer-facing role, ideally in a supplies-related industry. Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Skills & Competencies: Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers. Excellent phone etiquette and cold-calling experience. Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Problem-solving mindset and ability to think critically when addressing customer needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in B2B sales, preferably in the supplies, industrial, or distribution industry. Knowledge of the industry, including products and customer types, is a plus. Proficiency in using sales software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and order management tools.
