Renewable Solar Inc. is a rapidly growing Solar Engineering, Procurement, Construction company (Solar EPC), with an Operations and Maintenance department that is currently managing a commercial plant of 200 sites and 86MW, with expectations to grow that plant to 150MW in 2025. We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Maintenance Manager who is self-motivated, results driven, with strong technical and leadership skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. The Maintenance Manager leads an operations team of 5-7 technicians, overseeing service and preventive maintenance, and leading the maintenance team in solving complex special projects across our growing plant assets. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and lead the growing field operations team of 5 technicians with plans to grow to 10 in the next 12 months (service and preventive maintenance). Utilize multiple monitoring platforms to monitor, schedule and dispatch service techs. Oversee preventative maintenance schedule and processes. Take ownership of special projects, assuming a project management role to tackle complex AC/DC challenges from start to finish. Respond to escalated service calls. Remotely troubleshoot and/or open case with vendor. Utilize company CRM systems to record progress of various tasks. Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to successfully troubleshoot and lead complex electrical field operational issues. As an example, the ideal candidate would be able clearly articulate how they’ve conducted root cause investigation and repairs for blown fuse/overcurrent protection due to voltage/harmonics irregularities within 1200-3000A main switch gear and 750kVA-4000kVA loop fed transformers. Minimum 5 years of combined commercial electrical/construction and/or solar service work Minimum of 2 years of management experience in the solar or electrical field. Be proficient with Microsoft Suite. Attention to detail. Ability to work primarily in an office setting. When in the field, ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.). Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment. Must have a valid state driver's license. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). General or Certified Electrician a plus. Supervisory Controls The Maintenance Manager will report administratively under the Director of Maintenance and Operations (Vacant), while reporting day to day operational status directly to the Renewable Solar President/Owner (Howze). The Maintenance Manager is expected to directly supervise 1 Service Supervisor, 4 Service/Preventative Maintenance Technicians initially, with plans to expand to 7-10 during 2024-2025. The Maintenance Manager is expected to work 40-45 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Evaluation Factors The Maintenance Manager will be evaluated based on several Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that this position will help develop and formalize. KPIs such as site operational availability, response times, and other industry standards. The Maintenance Manager will also be evaluated based on their ability to successfully address complex challenges as they arise. Pay Scale The Maintenance Manager compensation will be at market rates, based on qualifications, currently estimated between $110,000 - $130,000 a year.
