Summit Medical Staffing Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/09/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel $500 Travel Reimbursement MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT. These are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements. Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH. TNCC Preferred Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, Conscious Sedation, Telemetry, Vents, Trauma Level I or II, and IV Start First time travelers: Will accept IF their experience is from a large academic medical center Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals Staffing Ratios: 1:2 Unit Information: Critical Care Crisis Track 2 (NIH is only preferred) & manual proning, PA/Swan Lines, VAP, CAUTI, CLABI prevention, Delirium Bundles About Summit Medical Staffing Nursing Summit Medical Staffing was founded in 2014 and is based in Fremont, Nebraska.
