Position: Attorney - M&A - Life Sciences Location: Irvine, CA Client: A leading medical and healthcare company Duration: 1 year (Starting January 1) Commitment: 20-25 hours/week over 2-3 days Overview: Our client, a prominent medical and healthcare company, is seeking a seasoned M&A attorney to join their on-site leadership team. This role is pivotal for the successful integration of an upcoming acquisition. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert legal support for acquisition integration. Provide leadership and guidance in both business operations and integration activities. Collaborate closely with the veteran business unit attorney based in Marlborough, MA. Qualifications: Extensive experience in M&A, preferably within the medical device or life sciences sectors. Demonstrated maturity and ability to engage as a peer with executive leadership. Strong fortitude and resilience. Exceptional relationship-building skills to foster trust and bridge gaps between the legacy organization and the new entity. Ideal Candidate: A former or retired General Counsel (GC) with relevant industry experience would be highly suitable for this role.
