Quality Control Inspector - Steel Fabrication

Job Title: QC Inspector – Steel Fabrication Location: Denver, CO Shift: 1st Shift Company Overview: Industrial Talent Group is seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector with structural steel experience to join our team and maintain the high standards our clients expect. Job Description: As a QC Inspector, you’ll ensure that all steel components meet the highest standards of quality and precision. This role involves inspecting welds, verifying measurements, and ensuring compliance with industry codes. It’s a great fit for individuals with welding knowledge, especially in techniques like MIG, TIG, and flux core, and for those who have a strong grasp of blueprints and welding symbols. Key Responsibilities: Perform Visual and Dimensional Inspections: Examine welds for cracks, porosity, and overall quality, verifying that dimensions and tolerances meet specified requirements. Utilize Inspection Tools: Measure tolerances and confirm specifications using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ensure Standards Compliance: Verify all products meet applicable codes (e.g., AWS, AISC) and customer-specific requirements. Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection reports, noting any non-conformances and collaborating with production to address them. Team Collaboration: Work with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement. Qualifications: Experience in Structural Steel and Welding : Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and flux core welding techniques is a plus. Blueprint and Symbol Proficiency : Familiarity with reading blueprints and understanding welding symbols. Attention to Detail : Exceptional focus on detail and accuracy in inspection tasks. Inspection Tool Proficiency : Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools. Certification : AWS or similar welding/inspection certification is preferred. Why Join Us?
