Our client, a boutique real estate investment firm is looking for an experienced real estate paralegal to join their team. Job Title : Real Estate Paralegal Reports To : General Counsel Salary Range : $100,000 - $150,000 discretionary bonus Overview: The Real Estate Paralegal will support the legal team at a leading real estate investment firm, specializing in high-value commercial and residential real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage complex projects and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Transaction Management Assist with the preparation, review, and management of contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and closing documents. Oversee the escrow process, ensuring timely completion of all documentation and compliance with transaction deadlines. Title and Survey Review Conduct and review title searches, commitments, policies, and surveys to identify and resolve any title defects or exceptions. Coordinate with title companies, lenders, and other third parties. Due Diligence Perform in-depth due diligence, including zoning and land use research, and verify ownership and encumbrances. Organize and maintain due diligence reports and materials for acquisitions and development projects. Closing Support Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of real estate closings, including drafting closing binders, managing checklists, and disbursing funds. Ensure proper execution, recording, and filing of documents. Legal and Administrative Support Maintain organized transaction files and corporate records. Track critical dates and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual deadlines. Assist attorneys with litigation support, as needed. Qualifications: Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business, or a related field. Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is strongly preferred. Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions. Prior experience in a real estate investment or development firm is highly desirable. Skills : Advanced knowledge of title insurance, real estate contracts, escrow processes, and zoning regulations. Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
