High School Science Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated High School Teacher to join our team at RMA. The ideal candidate will help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, knowledgeable, and responsible individuals. This role requires a passion for teaching, a commitment to student success, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse school community. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Valid teacher certification appropriate for the specific assignment and grade level as required by federal, state, or local regulations, including the No Child Left Behind Act. Prior experience or formal training in working with “at-risk” students is preferred. Proven ability to work in a polite and friendly manner with various constituencies including parents, students, and staff. Ability to effectively educate and manage students from diverse backgrounds and socio-economic levels. Experience in effectively handling conflict. As a High School Teacher at RMA, you will implement the school's mission and educational standards while assisting in enforcing student conduct policies. You'll protect students and school property, maintain accurate records, and continually improve your professional skills. Attending staff meetings, serving on committees, and fostering cooperative relationships with students, colleagues, and parents are essential. You will work with other staff to create an effective educational environment. In the classroom, you will plan and deliver lessons that meet students' individual needs, create an engaging and orderly learning environment, and use positive behavior interventions. You will assess and document student progress, address learning challenges with specialist support, and meet the needs of special program students. Additionally, you will oversee and evaluate the performance of educational assistants and volunteers.
