Our client is a premier general contractor specializing in high-quality commercial construction projects. With a strong track record of delivering large-scale, complex builds, they are known for their commitment to excellence. They are currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team in Houston, Texas. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations on commercial construction projects, ensuring that each project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Manage subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and maintaining clear communication across all project stakeholders. Manage and coordinate subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Conduct regular site inspections and maintain detailed project reports, identifying potential issues and proactively addressing them. Monitor project progress, reviewing schedules, and adjusting keep the project on track. Ensure the work site is organized, safe, and compliant with all local and federal regulations. Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Review and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Resolve on-site issues and challenges in a timely and efficient manner to minimize project delays. Prepare and review construction documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, and progress updates. Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with a General Contractor background. Proven experience managing commercial construction projects valued at $15 million or more. Experience working on K-12 educational facilities is highly advantageous. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications. A strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards. Proficiency in project management software and the Microsoft Office Suite. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification and other relevant industry certifications. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
