Our client, recognised as one of the most active bankruptcy practices in the United States, is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Partner to join their Los Angeles team. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, including debtor-in-possession and exit financing, asset sales, and plan development. Represent debtors, trustees, creditors, and equity holders, providing strategic counsel to protect and advance client interests. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across corporate, tax, real estate, intellectual property, and environmental law to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients. Develop and confirm restructuring or liquidation plans, including pre-packaged or expedited plans of reorganisation. Negotiate, document, and secure court approval for debtor-in-possession financing agreements. Handle contentious litigation arising from restructuring, advocating for client rights in United States Bankruptcy Courts. Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar. Extensive experience in commercial bankruptcy and Chapter 11 proceedings, with a proven track record of successful outcomes. Exceptional leadership and case management skills, capable of steering high-stakes, multifaceted bankruptcy cases. Strong litigation expertise with experience in contested bankruptcy matters. Demonstrated ability to negotiate and draft complex financial agreements and reorganisation plans. Experience in cross-border bankruptcy cases and familiarity with Chapter 15 matters is a plus.
