We are seeking an Intern in our New York City office who will gain exposure to all facets of Greystone’s Accounting department. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of month-end work papers. Assist with compiling presentation binders. Prepare accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliations. Support the payment processing team. Data entry. Take minutes at the monthly accounting meetings. Assist with auditor requests. Organize tax returns for signatures Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Strong general accounting knowledge. Strong writing skills. Must have a strong work ethic. Must have strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and with a team with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Must be detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner. Proficient in Excel and Word. The firm is the 1 overall HUD multifamily and healthcare lender by firm commitments, and a top 10 Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily real estate lender. For HUD's 2024 fiscal year ending September 30, 2024. Based upon combined firm commitments received by Greystone Funding Company LLC and Greystone Servicing Company LLC and excludes risk sharing and hospital loans.
