Experienced Estimator – Commercial Ground-Up Construction Exciting Opportunity with a Leading General Contractor Our client, a well-established General Contractor , is looking for an Experienced Estimator to join their team and play a key role in their growing portfolio of commercial ground-up construction projects . If you have a strong background in estimating for large-scale commercial builds and are looking to make a meaningful impact, this is the opportunity for you Key Responsibilities: Cost Estimation : Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for commercial ground-up construction projects, covering all aspects of the build, from materials to labor costs. Takeoffs & Quantity Surveying : Conduct material takeoffs and quantity surveys using industry-leading software to assess project needs and costs. Bid Preparation : Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to compile competitive bids and proposals that align with project scope and budget. Cost Management : Analyze subcontractor quotes, labor rates, and materials costs to ensure estimates are competitive and realistic. Team Collaboration : Work closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to refine project estimates and gather essential information. Process Improvement : Contribute to refining estimating processes and systems, helping improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall project delivery. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: ✔️ 5 years of experience in estimating for commercial ground-up construction projects. ✔️ Proficiency with takeoff software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. ✔️ Strong knowledge of construction materials , labor rates, and project costing. ✔️ Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce precise, well-organized estimates. ✔️ Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. ✔️ A degree in Construction Management , Civil Engineering , or a related field is a plus but not essential.
