Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Indiana state licensure Job Details Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30). Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS MIXED ACUITY UNIT: ALL TRAVELERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK WITH MEDSURG PATIENTS Ratios:1:5-6; PCU 1:3-4 Years of experience REQ: 18 months Weekend REQ: Every other Certs REQ: ACLS, BLS required; NIH preferred Is on-call REQ? No Will the clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes Open to accommodating block schedule? To be discussed RTO Restrictions: Must work 2/3 major holidays. Guaranteed Hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr. shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Special Requirements: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, accessing ports, starting IVs. PREFERRED EXP: neuro and oncology experience; Central Line Care/Management; monitoring chemotherapy Unit Information: Medical PCU Oncology and Stroke Unit; Mixed Acuity Unit - Medical patients with some PCU level of care patients. Capability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Ability to access ports and start IVs. Schedule Information Every other weekend required. Potential to discuss a block schedule.
