Certification Details Chemotherapy administration certification BLS Job Requirements Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers. Skills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac Certs: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: CPI. Charge nurse experience, OCN Schedule Information Shift: NIGHTS; Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays RTO: 7 days MAX - NO CHRISTMAS RTO; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48. Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift. Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location. Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED. Unit Specific Information Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history and occasional Chemotherapy administration Special Procedures / Unit Details: Daily Census 42. Additional Details Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
