We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hemp/Cannabis Marketing Director to join our team and drive our brand's growth in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving market. Job Overview: The KANNA Marketing Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and enhance market presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the hemp/cannabis industry, a passion for marketing, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals. Identify market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing decisions. Collaborate with Ownership/leadership to set marketing goals and KPIs. Brand Management: Oversee the development and implementation of brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all channels. Lead creative campaigns that build brand awareness and loyalty. Manage and grow the company’s portfolio of brands, ensuring each aligns with market demands and company values. Digital Marketing: Design and manage digital marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and online advertising. Analyze digital performance metrics to optimize campaigns and improve ROI. Ensure compliance with hemp/cannabis advertising regulations across all digital platforms. Content Development: Guide the creation of engaging and compliant content across all marketing channels. Develop educational materials that communicate the benefits and responsible use of hemp/cannabis products. Coordinate with external agencies, influencers, and partners to amplify content reach. Product Launches: Plan and execute product launch strategies, including market research, messaging, and promotional tactics. Collaborate with product development, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful product introductions. Community Engagement: Develop and manage community outreach initiatives, including events, sponsorships, and partnerships. Lead public relations efforts to enhance the company’s reputation within the hemp/cannabis community, local, and beyond. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on hemp/cannabis marketing regulations and ensure all marketing activities comply with local, state, and federal laws. Work closely with legal/ownership to navigate the complexities of Hemp/cannabis advertising and promotion. Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creative thinking and continuous learning. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred). 7 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the Hemp/cannabis industry. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies. Deep understanding of cannabis industry trends, regulations, and customer behaviors. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
