Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Baceline Group is the largest owner and operator of small format, necessity-based Neighborhood Shopping Centers across the United States. We are seeking to fill the position of Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our Legal team. This position will report to Baceline's Staff Attorney and work closely with the SVP, Property Management, SVP, Leasing, and Staff Attorney on all tenant/landlord legal disputes. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of commercial real estate, commercial lease language, and a strong attention to detail. As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for: Outside Legal Counsel Liaison: Collaborate on tenant/landlord legal disputes and communicate effectively with outside counsel and internal teams on matters such as collections, settlements, evictions, and other legal and financial issues. Legal Department Administrative Tasks: Manage and update the Tenant Legal tracker in Planner and work with third-party service providers to maintain compliance with filings, fees, and taxes. Local/Property-Level Legal Matter Support: Communicate with internal and external parties to address and resolve property-level legal matters, while also coordinating with property management and leasing teams on tenant issues, zoning, and permit acquisition. Acquisition/Closing Support: Provide support for the Baceline acquisition process by assisting with entity formation, title and survey reviews, lease interpretations, purchase agreements, settlement sheets, and general closing communications. Desired Qualifications Paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 4 years of relevant experience as a Real Estate Paralegal Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining excellent quality standards Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects Results-oriented, collaborative, highly driven, fast learner Salary Range $80,000-$100,000/year based on experience Benefits Our hiring process receives the same level of attention and diligence as our investment strategies, reflecting our commitment to long-term assets in both areas.
