Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months. Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer. There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions. MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS Schedule Information Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7. Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday. Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor. IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks. RT 24/7: Yes Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days. Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2D Additional Details Unit: MedSurg B2C beds: 29 beds Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General MedSurg patients that require tele. Amio, Cardizem to titrate down only. Additional Notes: Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone). Is the "new grad training unit", all new grads train with a "clinical scholar" for 4 weeks. Each week patient load increases to 1:4 final week.
