Job description We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of a municipal plant construction projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Duties: - Manage the overall project schedule, including project planning, scheduling, and coordinating with stakeholders - Conduct construction site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications - Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and estimates - Coordinate and manage the installation of construction materials, equipment, and fixtures - Ensure compliance with construction contracts and negotiate with vendors as needed - Utilize project management software such as Primavera and Bluebeam to track progress and identify potential issues - Collaborate with the design team to ensure schematics are accurately translated into construction plans - Develop and manage project schedules, including milestones and deadlines - Oversee the maintenance of construction site documentation, including records of material deliveries, inspections, and testing - Conduct regular project meetings with the project team to discuss progress and address any issues - Manage and direct a team of construction professionals, including project engineers and site supervisors - Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards - Manage and coordinate all construction-related activities, including procurement of materials and equipment - Conduct construction estimating and provide detailed cost reports - Develop and implement project quality control plans to ensure high-quality construction results - Manage and resolve construction-related conflicts and disputes Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is REQUIRED - At least 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically dealing with municipal treatment plant facilities - Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices - Proficiency in project management software, including Primavera and Bluebeam - Experience with construction estimating and project scheduling - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and leadership skills - Experience with construction contracts and negotiations - Familiarity with Waste Water Treatment and Water Treatment Facilities - Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices - Experience with construction site inspections and compliance with safety regulations - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Experience with construction estimating and cost control - Certification in construction management or a related field is an asset.
