Key responsibilities include overseeing both sustaining and new projects, providing expert technical direction, and managing the entire engineering organization. This leader will significantly influence business development, actively engaging in customer meetings and helping to spearhead the company’s growth initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, with an MBA preferred, and must have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering and/or manufacturing, including a minimum of 3 years in upper management. Experience in highly regulated industries such as aerospace or medical device sectors is crucial. The role requires a proven leader with outstanding communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities, along with a solid track record of making sound decisions in high-pressure situations. You will be expected to implement innovative processes, technologies, and systems to enhance organizational efficiency, ensuring that engineering and quality-related policies robustly support the company’s vision. A strong background in both sustaining and prototype engineering, emphasizing speed and agility, is essential, along with experience in delivering products for both commercial and military applications. While not mandatory, experience in strategic planning, growth initiatives, and a Master’s degree is highly desirable.
