The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of engineering, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role involves overseeing both sustaining and new projects, providing technical direction, and management for the entire engineering organization. The VP will also be instrumental in business development, particularly in the aerospace and similar highly regulated industries, and will be expected to contribute to customer meetings, proposal inputs, and the identification of engineering support for design studies. Candidates for this role at The Company should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with an MBA preferred, and at least 10 years' progressive experience in engineering and manufacturing, including a minimum of 3 years' in upper management. The role requires proven leadership experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a track record of making sound decisions in high-pressure situations. A strong background in both sustaining and prototype engineering, with a focus on speed and agility, is essential. Experience in commercial and military product delivery, both domestically and globally, is also a key requirement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the industry, the ability to lead and drive engineering teams, and a commitment to the quality and regulatory standards of the aerospace and similar sectors.
