Position Summary: The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the month-end close process for a newly acquired company. This includes collaborating with internal and outsourced stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate results. The position requires utilizing technical accounting expertise to ensure transactions comply with U.S. GAAP standards. Key Responsibilities: Month-End Close and General Ledger Management Oversee daily accounting operations to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger. Perform monthly flux and trend analyses of financial statement data. Prepare journal entries and upload period results into the corporate ERP system. Prepare and review account reconciliations, coordinating with onshore and offshore teams to address aging items and determine appropriate accounting treatments. Auditing and Compliance: Support internal and external audits, as well as external reporting activities. Review and enhance SOX controls to ensure adequacy. Identify and implement new controls for existing or newly created processes, including updating or creating process documentation in collaboration with business process owners. Technical Accounting and Transactions: Review complex and unusual transactions for compliance with US GAAP and company policies. Assist with merger and acquisition accounting and integration, including Opening Balance Sheets, Purchase Accounting, policy reviews, and compliance efforts. Leadership and Projects Lead ad hoc projects and ensure successful completion with minimal supervision. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business discipline. 4 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
