Buyer/Planner

LHH is seeking a Buyer/Planner for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Lebanon, IN. In this position, you will coordinate with key customers, plan and procure materials to meet production needs, negotiate supplier pricing, monitor orders throughout the supply chain, and manage onsite inventory for manufacturing. The compensation is commensurate to experience and ranges between $65-80K plus bonus and includes several medical insurance options, generous PTO, and a 401K with a company match. H1B/Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinates with suppliers concerning all matters regarding planning, placing, and receiving orders. • Formulate and implement efficient sourcing and procurement strategies with both new and current business partners for all assigned categories. • Assists in supplier review and ensuring timely delivery of material. • Maintains the accuracy of production inventory through proper handling, secure storage, and regular cycle counts • Conveys purchase order specifications to suppliers and ensures actions are taken for schedule compliance and consistent supply. • Collaborates extensively with Global Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other departments to optimize inventory levels and minimize material shortages and disruptions to operational or development schedules. • Assess competitive bids to find the best balance of cost and quality • Keep accurate records of vendors and suppliers within internal databases • Issue purchase orders and track their progress throughout the supply chain QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field is strongly preferred • 3 years of experience planning materials to support production demands • Ideal candidates will have experience with both domestic and international planning • Must have experience using an ERP System H1B/Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
