Loyal Source is looking for a Benefits Manager to work at our office in Orlando, Florida. POSITION PURPOSE The Benefits Manager is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, wellness programs, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability in a Workday Software environment for a variety of clients. The role involves working closely with HR Management, Payroll and external vendors to ensure that the benefits programs are compliant with applicable laws. This role will oversee the benefits programs and manage the benefit team members. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Job Responsibilities: · Develop, implement, and manage employee benefit program, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and wellness initiatives. · Regularly review and update benefits plans to ensure competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals. · Administer enrollment, changes, and terminations of employee benefits. · Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and FMLA. · Prepare and file all required benefits-related reports with government agencies. · Manage relationships with benefits provider, insurance brokers, and third-party administrators. · Negotiate contracts, premiums, and service agreements with benefits providers to ensure cost-effective coverage. · Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, claims issues, and plan details. · Develop and distribute educational materials, host workshops, or lead information sessions to ensure employees understand their benefits options. · Assist employees during annual open enrollment periods or when changes to benefits occur. · Monitor benefits usage, costs, and trends, and prepare reports for management o the effectiveness and financial impact of benefits programs. · Conduct regular benchmarking and mart analysis to compare the organization's benefits with industry standards. · Collaborate with senior leadership and HR to develop a long-term benefits strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and talent strategy. · Make recommendations to improve benefits offerings, increase employee engagement, and enhance the employee value proposition. · Implement and oversee wellness programs and employee assistance programs (EAP) aimed at improving employee well-being. · Evaluate the effectiveness of wellness initiatives and promote participation among employees. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/EPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (such as Employee Benefit Specialist or CEBS is preferred) with 5-7 years of experience in benefits administration, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: - Strong knowledge of benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA COBRA, HIPAA), health insurance plans, retirement plans and wellness programs. - Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws. - Proficient in HRIS and benefits management systems, Workday a plus. - Managing a team and working with other departments to align the benefits program with organizational goals. - Able to work collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization and team members SKILLS: - Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and change focus quickly to meet business needs within a fast-paced environment - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong analytical skills and attentive to detail with a high degree of accuracy - Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications ability to learn and become proficient with new and existing company specific software applications; ability to become proficient with the applicant tracking system and other onboarding related software - Ability to take initiative in identifying problems, collecting data, and establishing facts to recommend practical decisions and solutions - Strong customer focus and consistently performs with a sense of urgency - Experience in a high-volume, multi-unit, multi-state environment preferred. - Proven ability to work under steady pressure with frequent interruptions and a high degree of contact by phone and email. - Authorized to work in the United States PAY: $75,000- $80,000 MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding, to carry out detailed instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables. TECHNOLOGICAL ABILITY: Competent in the use of MS Word and Excel. Workday experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
