Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee healthcare construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare construction, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Project Manager will coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to deliver healthcare facilities that meet regulatory standards and fulfill client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Management: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare construction projects, ensuring compliance with healthcare-specific requirements and regulations. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Oversee all project phases, from pre-construction to project closeout, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and healthcare standards. Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain open and effective communication with clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and regulatory agencies, ensuring successful project outcomes and compliance with healthcare standards. Budget and Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency. Monitor project financial performance, identifying and addressing variances. Negotiate contracts, change orders, and other financial agreements, ensuring project profitability while meeting client needs. Quality and Compliance Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all work meets healthcare construction standards and project specifications. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including infection control standards, air quality management, and patient safety. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to proactively identify and resolve issues related to quality, safety, and compliance. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, including assistant project managers, superintendents, and support staff. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure alignment with project schedules and quality expectations. Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes safety, quality, and a commitment to project goals. Scheduling and Logistics: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of healthcare construction. Coordinate with on-site teams to ensure that all activities are executed according to plan, minimizing disruption to healthcare facilities. Identify and mitigate any potential scheduling delays or conflicts that may impact project timelines. Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential risks to healthcare construction projects and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Address and resolve challenges that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets. Drive continuous improvement and implement innovative solutions to optimize project outcomes and client satisfaction. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in healthcare construction project management, with experience on large-scale healthcare facilities. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare construction regulations, infection control, and patient safety requirements. Proven experience managing complex healthcare construction projects, including compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory agencies. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera). Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and cost control. Knowledge of local, state, and federal healthcare construction codes and regulations. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
