As a Sr. IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for working across the enterprise, in alignment with the Business Transformation PMO, to provide key facilitation, leadership and project management skills to build effective cross functional project and product teams that consistently achieve their objectives and focus on delivering the greatest business value. This role will blend traditional project management practices with an Agile development mindset to provide the right balance of agility and predictability. This role will also be instrumental in defining Agile SDLC and project management methodologies to ensure consistent project intake, prioritization planning, delivery, quality and reporting. You will use Agile practices, project management processes, and facilitation skills to predictably produce high-quality technical solutions and software releases. You will be responsible for aligning IT PM practices with the Business Transformation PMO, the identification and scoping of IT initiatives, creating project management / agile release plans, reporting status to management, resolving critical project issues, building an effective IT project team, and driving process improvements, especially Agile improvements, across the entire IT Team. In this role, you will have the ability to make significant and long-lasting impacts on the entire KDA organization by advancing our IT project portfolio and IT delivery capabilities to deliver meaningful and transformational IT services and solutions. As a result, you will be one of the critical change agents within KDA. The chance to do something meaningful, to challenge yourself, to take others where they would not go on their own, to be a part of change in an industry, and to drive change - doesn’t come around every day Responsibilities Establish IT Project and Portfolio Management processes, practices and standards aligned with Kyocera’s Business Transformation PMO. Hire, lead, mentor and manage a leading team of IT Project Managers. Support the selection and roll-out of PMO tools that enable Portfolio Management, Project Management, Capacity Management and Agile based SDLC requirements, iterations, and releases. Provide necessary guidance, training, and influence to drive best practices and ensure long term adoption. Ensure the portfolio and project trackers and KPIs are current and up to date with project, release, sprint, and iteration information. Lead resource capacity planning and allocation to ensure the IT department’s project and product teams are not oversubscribed or underutilized. Serve as program manager for large scale, high-visibility projects. Assume responsibility and oversight for the success and quality for all ongoing IT projects. Project manage assigned IT projects and initiatives using detailed project, release, sprint, and iteration plans for on-time, on-budget, and on-scope scope delivery. Work with project teams to identify and resolve risks, interdependencies, and constraints around project deliverables, objectives, risks, and constraints. Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Ensure software quality and unit, regression and UAT testing tasks required for the delivery of a high-quality product are documented, planned, executed and signed off on with sufficient time to correct any defects. Ensure change management tasks required for the organization to accept, adapt, and support initiatives, including effective communication, adequate training, and documentation are planned and executed. Foster adoption of Agile project management methodologies. Develop and maintain productive relationships with business users, IT members, and management. Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Required: Minimum 10 years IT Project Management experience with a strong emphasis on Agile / Scrum SDLC based Software Development Projects. Minimum 10 years of hands-on technical project management experience. Strong experience working with PMO’s. Experience with requirements gathering, testing and change management methodologies. Sufficient level of technical background to provide credible leadership to development teams and evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively. Sufficient business acumen to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers to develop strategies and solutions of high business value. Proven advocate for outstanding customer service. Excellent communication, collaboration and diplomatic skills to guide, influence and convince others to adopt change and to deliver exceptional service. Excellent analytical, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills. Must be highly organized and self-motivated. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask while maintaining high quality and strong analytical abilities. Project Management Certification BS in a related field, and/or extensive work experience. Attendance at Kyocera’s headquarters office in Fairfield, NJ per current work policies is required. Company paid relocation is not provided to the Fairfield, NJ office. The candidate must self-relocate. Preferred: Minimum 5 years Program and Portfolio experience Minimum 5 years managing cross functional teams and projects.
