As the Construction Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the vision and execution of the company’s construction strategy. This position entails overseeing construction activities, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely, budget-conscious, high-quality delivery of high-rise and large-scale commercial projects. Your leadership will shape the division’s direction, foster innovation, and drive the success of every project. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive construction strategy aligned with our goals for growth, project diversification, and revenue generation. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, projects, and geographic expansion. Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment of construction strategies with broader organizational objectives. Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performance construction team, including Project Managers, Engineers, Site Supervisors, and support staff. Mentor and develop leaders within the construction division, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback aligned with company values and mission. Project Oversight & Execution: Lead the planning and successful execution of all high-rise construction projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. Oversee project schedules, resource allocation, and procurement for smooth project operations. Understand electrical, irrigation systems, and actively work on solutions to technical challenges. Budget & Financial Management: Develop and manage the construction division’s annual budget, optimizing resource allocation. Monitor and control project costs, ensuring effective cost management and implementing cost-saving initiatives. Provide timely financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership on project status, cost forecasts, and variances. Quality Assurance & Safety: Establish rigorous quality control procedures to consistently meet construction standards. Promote a safety-first culture and ensure high safety levels on all project sites. Implement sustainability practices, incorporating green building standards and energy-efficient technologies. Client & Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are met through proactive communication. Foster long-term partnerships by maintaining strong client relationships and managing satisfaction. Resolve issues and disputes with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to keep project timelines on track. Contract Negotiation & Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, securing favorable terms and quality. Maintain relationships with external partners to ensure timely procurement of materials and services. Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks. Implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure timely delivery. Innovation & Technology: Stay updated on construction trends, technologies, and materials to enhance operational efficiency. Champion adoption of new tools and software for project management, collaboration, and cost reduction. Compliance & Legal Oversight: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction regulations, including permits and codes. Oversee legal and contractual obligations to ensure alignment with company policies and regulations. Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to the executive team on project progress and performance. Present key performance indicators (KPIs) and data to support decision-making for future projects. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) is a plus. Experience: 10 years in senior construction roles, with experience managing large-scale, high-rise, or complex projects. Expertise: Deep knowledge of construction methods, materials, techniques, and best practices, including electrical and irrigation systems. Financial Acumen: Proven experience in managing budgets, controlling costs, and delivering high-quality outcomes. Leadership: Strong ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, managing strategic and operational business aspects. Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients, vendors, and stakeholders. Technology: Proficient with construction management software, building information modeling (BIM), and project management tools. Safety & Sustainability: Expertise in safety protocols, green building standards, and sustainable practices. Problem-Solving: Critical thinking skills, with an ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
