We are seeking a dynamic Purchasing Specialist to join our team In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly, collaborating with sales teams and suppliers to source high-quality products at the best prices. If you thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Vendor Management: Evaluate and select vendors based on price, reliability, and quality. Maintain up-to-date records on pricing histories and vendor performance. Order Processing: Prepare and verify purchase orders, ensuring specifications and pricing meet requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to confirm availability and negotiate delivery schedules. Inventory Monitoring: Review requisitions against inventory levels, recommend alternatives, and reorder based on minimum inventory quantities. Issue Resolution: Work closely with purchasing and sales teams to resolve discrepancies in purchase orders and shipments, addressing any delays or errors promptly. Supplier Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with suppliers regarding orders, confirmations, and delivery instructions. Address missing or incorrect invoices and past-due orders efficiently. Data Entry: Accurately input verified purchasing information into the company's management system, ensuring smooth and precise order tracking. Continuous Improvement: Monitor inventory levels of bulk merchandise and suggest reorders, ensuring we meet demand without overstocking. What We’re Looking For: Education & Experience: Associate's Degree or a combination of education and experience in a related field. A minimum of 3 years in purchasing or a similar role, with experience managing multiple vendors and contracts. Skills: Strong negotiation skills and judgment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, numerical, and time management abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and accuracy Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail Why Apply?
