UAS is seeking a motivated and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support our human resources and administrative operations at our Houston headquarters. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day HR processes, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This position requires a proactive individual who is skilled in multitasking, knowledgeable in medical insurance, and well-versed in regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Human Resources Support Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for employees. Support employee relations efforts by addressing inquiries and concerns, escalating complex issues as necessary. Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems with relevant changes. Develop and maintain HR policies, ensuring they remain compliant and aligned with best practices. HRIS Administration Manage HRIS and ensure data accuracy and system optimization. Conduct regular audits of the HRIS to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with company policies. Provide training and support to employees and managers on HRIS usage. Medical Insurance and Benefits Administration Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans. Provide employees with information and guidance on medical insurance options and coverage. Assist in the annual renewal and negotiation of medical insurance plans. Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and submit required reports. Compliance and Policies Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws. Lead initiatives to uphold workplace safety and ethics standards per regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits of HR and administrative processes to maintain compliance. Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to address compliance issues or handle complex employee matters. Administrative Support Manage office operations, including supplies, vendor coordination, and facilities management. Assist in planning and organizing company events, meetings, and employee training sessions. Serve as a point of contact for administrative inquiries and office-related concerns. Develop and streamline administrative procedures to improve efficiency. Reporting and Data Management Maintain HR databases and ensure data accuracy and security. Generate reports for management on key HR metrics, such as turnover, retention, and benefits usage. Analyze data to identify trends and recommend process improvements. Ensure data security and confidentiality of employee information. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus. At least 3 years of experience in HR management, generalist role covering HR, benefits compliance and administrative functions. Proven knowledge of medical insurance administration, including policy renewals, negotiations, and healthcare regulations compliance. Good understanding of U.S. labor laws and HR compliance requirements at federal, state, and local levels. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Proficiency in HRIS systems and the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
