Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatrics Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/02/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel $500 Travel Reimbursement Unit Notes: of beds: 16 Ratios: 1:2-3 Required Certifications: PALS, BLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, Hyperbilirubinemia, RSV, NICU graduates, post op appendectomy/tonsillectomy, Postpartum couplets, adult med/surg, behavioral health (1:1 sitters), VEEG/epileptic patients Experience or 'Must have' skills: Pediatric experience Are RNs required to titrate drips: No Common titratable &/or set rate drips: None Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Both Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: No Pediatrician in house 24/7: Residents RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): NC/HFNC Is there tele on this unit Monitor Techs RNs read strips: Yes, RNs watch the monitors Shifts & Scheduling: 3-12s per week 4 week schedules Weekend Requirement: Can be every weekend Holiday Requirement: Yes Is there a call or standby requirement: No Floating Requirements: Can float to NICU to care for the same type of patient that would be on peds Scrub Color/Dress Code: Royal Blue About Summit Medical Staffing Nursing Summit Medical Staffing was founded in 2014 and is based in Fremont, Nebraska.
