Our firm specializes in removal defense, humanitarian applications, family-based immigration, special immigrant juvenile status, criminal-immigration, employment-based immigration, naturalization, and appellate and federal litigation. Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated attorney to join Murray Osorio PLLC's team. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated interest in family or immigration law, excellent legal skills and a passion for delivering outstanding legal services to clients. This position requires a focus on family, or immigration law, with a specific emphasis on our special immigrant juvenile status cases. The candidate will work directly with abandoned, abused, or neglected children and their custodians. Responsibilities: Represent clients in family court proceedings to obtain custody orders, represent client in immigration proceedings, such as hearings, trials, and appeals. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on immigration matters, including family-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, and removal defense. Experience (formal or lived experience) working directly with immigrant community members. Fluent in Spanish to interview and counsel clients without the assistance of an interpreter. Membership in the bar of any state, and ability to practice before the immigration court and USCIS. Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents with USCIS, DOS, EOIR, and other government agencies. Conduct legal research and analysis of immigration laws, regulations, and policies. Monitor immigration policy and regulatory changes that could affect clients and provide guidance on compliance. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure efficient and effective representation of clients. Build and maintain relationships with clients and potential clients. Complete work with limited to no guidance, though collaboration among colleagues is always encouraged. Have a deep understanding of immigration law. Handle a significant caseload and meet minimum case completion metrics. Conduct consultations for potential new clients. Work with paralegals through case processes. Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to work within a team setting. Qualifications: Active bar membership and good standing Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Excellent legal research and writing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
