High acuity of PCU and ICU. Candidates with PCU/ICU experience preferred. May float to Med/Surg. Job Requirements High acuity PCU patient experience Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls 2 years of oncology experience preferred. Interpretation of dysrhythmias Use of rapid response teams Feeding tube care and management Accessing Ports Blood Product Administration Central line care/management Peripheral Line Care/Management PICC line management Starting IVs Heparin Protocols Manage Cardia drips- no titration PCA Titrate Cardiac drips Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac External CPAP/BIPAP High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Interpretation of ABGs Nasal Cannula Tracheostomy Management Schedule Information No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule. Facility determines the complete schedule, with the possibility of working every weekend. Must be flexible. Maximum 7 straight days off. 14-week contract required if taking 7 days off. Unit Specific Information Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients. High acuity of PCU and ICU. Candidates with PCU/ICU experience preferred. May float to Med/Surg.
