Description: The IT Senior Project Manager role leads multiple higher priority IT related projects or programs. The person fulfilling this role has shown to be a top-level contributor that acts independently with minimal direction. In addition, the ability to form strong relationships and communicate with a wide variety of internal and external resources is critical. Must exhibit leadership skills and be able to indirectly manage resources. The IT Senior Project Manager owns delivery of project scope, schedule, budget and delivery. Projects/programs being facilitated include core infrastructure projects, process reengineering, and packaged software implementations. The IT Senior Project Manager is expected to deliver results while maintaining a positive impact on the sponsors and broader stakeholder community. Finally, the role is also expected to serve as a mentor to others on the team to help with all aspects of the job. Key Responsibilities Include: Excels at the following Project Management skills: Facilitate the creation of project requirements, business cases, and executive summaries. Define and review project scope and successfully plan and track execution. Identify and secure resources required to execute the plan. Create and maintain project plans to accomplish stated goals. Identify, log, analyze and manage project issues and risks. Proactively address deviations from project plans or schedules and keep all participants on track. Facilitate project meetings, including the creation of agendas, preparation of materials, and documentation of meeting minutes and results. Provide status reports on project progress for project stakeholders and IT Leadership. Vendor solicitation and selection management including Request for Proposal (RFP) package creation. Effectively use the tools required for managing projects. Work closely with all project stakeholder groups to coordinate project milestones. Understand and translate cross-team dependencies into actionable plans. Work with multiple stakeholders in the Business and IT to meet the desired objectives. Determine most appropriate PMO methodology for assigned projects. Mentors new or junior level Project Managers on all things project management. Lead efforts outside of normal project management duties to help streamline or automate current processes. Known as one who sets the standards for how the IT PMO Team manages projects. Exhibits on a continual basis the ability to effectively deliver on projects of various complexities. Maintains a consistent high level quality of delivery with Stakeholder and IT Portfolio Leader satisfaction. Has an excellent understanding of the various teams within IT and utilizes that understanding to resolve project roadblocks. Well versed in multiple project management methodologies. Special projects and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: 5 years' of experience leading IT projects and programs. Experience to manage multiple priorities and tasks. Involvement working within technical teams through all phases of the project lifecycle. Ability to interact with technical, managerial, and executive level staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to organize, lead, facilitate, and manage status and other meetings as needed. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Project. Law firm experience preferred. Some travel may be required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree. Formal project management training and certification (PMP). Agile Methodology experience is desired.
