Hiring range:
$125,000 - $145,000 (salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).

Responsibilities:
Understanding the site's safe work requirements and ensuring work is performed in accordance with safety procedures.
Creating an inclusive, high-performance work environment through strong leadership.
Collaborating with Human Resources to ensure work activities exceed customer’s expectations.
Promoting employee career development plans and providing mentorship.
Initiating and communicating a variety of personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and scheduling and/or approving overtime.
Overseeing employees onboarding and supporting the hiring process.
Creating and maintaining a succession plan.
Maintaining consistent communication with management and client on key issues, potential client issues, approach to resolutions, and quickly addressing any issues with an action plan.
Supporting and/or conducting formal presentations to clients and management.
Establishing an organizational structure that ensures the most efficient utilization of resources while fulfilling the contractual requirements.
Ensuring 24 x 7 operational availability of critical facility systems (HVAC, steam, electrical, compressed air, chilled, and process cooling water systems).
Managing the Laboratory Instrument Services (LIS) program in a GxP Pharmaceutical Research Environment.
Managing contractor management for Analytical laboratory instrumentation i.e. HPLC, Spectroscopy, etc.
Identifying potential project problems or opportunities, analyzing the issues using all appropriate resources, developing alternatives, and arriving at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
Overseeing implementation of planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance programs.
Ensuring workload is effectively prioritized, assigned, tracked, and executed.
Ensuring workflows are defined, implemented, and effective.
Ensuring predictive technologies are effectively used and results are used to drive Reliability Center Maintenance.
Ensuring plans are aggressively monitored and requirements are enforced.
Anticipating operation’s needs and providing direction.
Managing performance and progress against the plan and ensuring accurate forecasts with commensurate action plans.
Tracking and reporting status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics on a routine basis. Implementing corrective measures when measures are outside service levels or bandwidths.
Meeting or exceeding KPI's.
Providing accurate monthly forecasts of cost, schedule, and resource utilization.
Managing multiple subcontractors supporting the operations and maintenance functions.
Working with Business Development to increase scope of services on existing contracts.
Supporting BD and Group management in Contract negotiations with customers.
Establishing annual operating budgets in cooperation with customer, business manager or group financial department.
Developing detailed budget with labor, materials, and subcontract costs identified by month for project.
Controlling costs by planning work, effectively using resources, and executing to budget.
Identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives in all areas of the project.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facility/Management, Maintenance Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience in process or production maintenance
- OR -
8 years of experience in industrial facilities or production maintenance related work.
In addition to education/experience, 5 years of progressive career experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research & development facility maintenance.
Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators.
Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Preferred Requirements:
Technical degree preferred.
Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses.
Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems.
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.
Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical/Special Requirements:
Regularly lift to 50 lbs.
Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding.
Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement.
Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions.
Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.
