Pay Range is $20 to $21.33/hr. on W2
Job Description:
Data Quality Monitoring: Identify, define, and coordinate the development of rules to monitor the quality of securities reference data (including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and pricing), ensuring accuracy against external data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, exchange feeds).
Data Flow Understanding: Acquire a deep understanding of the firm's product data, its flow through systems, and the impact of poor data quality on business operations. Leverage this knowledge to enhance data governance and improve overall data integrity.
Root-Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze data exceptions to identify underlying trends, assess inaccuracies in external data feeds, and propose actionable solutions for improvement.
Risk Identification and Escalation: Proactively identify potential or existing risks related to data quality, and escalate issues promptly with appropriate urgency to mitigate any negative business impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external data providers to ensure data quality standards are met and continuously improved.
Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain clear documentation of data quality processes, root-cause analyses, and resolutions. Provide regular status updates and reports on data quality metrics.
Key Skills & Qualifications: Financial Services Knowledge: A basic understanding of financial products, data flows, and market structure.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues, solutions, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to team goals and supporting team members.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to quickly digest complex information, analyze data sets, and identify root causes of issues.
Result-Oriented: A strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
Educational Background: Finance-related degree (e.g., B.Com, M.Com, MBA in Finance, or equivalent).
Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL, database management, macros, or similar technical tools is highly preferred.
Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with strong analytical skills in Excel.
