Job Description
During the pre-construction/bidding phase of the project, the
Energesco Estimating Manager
will work with the General Contractor, Construction Manager, and Project Executive. The estimating manager will work to develop a list of qualified subcontractors and solicit their input and quotes for the project. An accurate job cost or budget will be developed and implemented by the construction team. Functions: Review/estimate drawings for both budgets and bid proposals Familiarity with Trimble Autobid, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word for the preparation of bids Responsibilities: Assign jobs and manage the preparation of bids with estimators Scheduling of project estimates/decision to bid: coordinate the best estimates for the company and step away from bids with high, uncontrolled risk, and low profit Preparation and final approval of bids, budgets, and proposals for estimates you are working on and overseeing other estimators Manage Estimating Coordinator, bid lists, and estimating files. E-mail bid invitations to suppliers and subcontractors Coordinating quotations from multiple vendors and subcontractors for equipment and material coverage Upon award of the project, compile all information and schedule a kick-off meeting with the Project Management team for turnover of the project Turnover scope sheet should include a list of the equipment quotes, subcontractor quotes highlighting the specific ones used in the bid. Highlight potential areas of risk/allowances that will need coverage Maintain the bid sheet pricing for materials to provide proper purchase coverage Manage updates for Trimble software materials database Company Description:
