Role Overview:
ABS Global, a Genus company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Global Supply Chain Senior Director to lead our end-to-end supply chain organization, aligning our supply chain strategy with our overall business objectives and innovation across distribution. This role will provide strategic oversight of various components of a complex supply chain and coordination among different geographical and executive departments.
The Global Supply Chain Senior Director, Sales & Operations Planning role is responsible for leading the development of demand forecasts and ensuring optimal inventory levels across our global network, developing and implementing comprehensive demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, and leading the overall collaboration across product development, commercial, and supply chain departments to align product strategies with business objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience leading a demand planning function, with a strong understanding of the financial planning & analysis and supply chain functions of a business. Must also demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be an agent of change, and possess excellent communication and leadership abilities.
You Will:
Lead S&OP Processes: Oversee bi-monthly S&OP meetings to ensure effective coordination between Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Commercial business units. This should include rolling estimates of sales to allocation and inventory position globally.
Demand Planning Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, taking into account predictive analytics and dynamic product changes based on outside market forces.
Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels across all global regions to meet the business’s fast-paced growth and customer satisfaction needs.
Forecasting Accuracy: Improve the accuracy of demand forecasts using statistical models and incorporating business intelligence from various sources.
Analytics and Planning Tools: Recommend and introduce advanced analytics and planning tools to support the Planning and Financial teams. This will be the primary need of this role for the first 6 months along with implementation of said tools.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration across product development, commercial, and supply chain departments to align product strategies with business objectives.
Global Supply Chain Support: Provide solutions that support the global supply chain, addressing challenges and opportunities in various markets.
Performance Optimization: Drive initiatives to optimize supply chain performance, balancing cost, efficiency, and service level.
Resource Allocation: Ensure that resources are appropriately allocated to meet production schedules and demand while minimizing excess inventory.
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement efforts by analyzing supply chain processes and identifying areas for enhancement.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Strategic Decision Making: Play an influential role in making strategic decisions that affect the supply chain and overall business growth.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, regarding supply chain performance and strategic plans.
Requirements:
10+ years of professional experience within the Demand Planning function
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics highly preferred.
Experience in Microsoft ERP strongly preferred.
Experience leading teams and a passion for developing people.
Experience building complex financial models and planning tools from the ground up with a strong track record in implementing planning technology to enhance financial analysis and decision-making processes.
Intellectual curiosity and ability to switch gears in a dynamic environment.
Excited to be part of a new function in a dynamic environment and comfortable working in ambiguity.
Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability.
You are knowledgeable in all things MS Office.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, matched with impeccable analytical skills.

Experience with agricultural products a plus
Ability to travel occasionally; both domestic and international
