Position Purpose/Summary:
The
Director of Supply Chain
leads strategic decision-making on supply and demand for all items across the supply chain. This role focuses on optimizing processes to balance inventory levels, costs, risks, and supply continuity. Key responsibilities include developing and executing inventory replenishment strategies that account for supplier and manufacturing capabilities, capacity constraints, and costs to maintain uninterrupted material flow and meet business commitments.

Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables:

Owns end-to-end strategic SI&OP and business planning processes, ensuring objectives are aligned, reliable, and prioritized.
Provide thought leadership on SI&OP, driving cross-functional collaboration to ensure enterprise goals are met.
Plan and optimize manufacturing resource utilization, securing executive alignment to improve working capital, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Collaborate with Sales, Demand Planning, Logistics, Engineering, Marketing, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to create highly accurate forecasts.
Manage the rolling demand plan, ensuring consensus and alignment across all stakeholders in the monthly SI&OP volume process.
Drive decision-making on supply and demand forecasts, using statistical models to assess options, risks, and recommendations.
Lead SI&OP reviews with enterprise leadership and cross-functional teams.
Assess demand forecasts in relation to market trends and sales activities, identifying variances and working closely with Demand and Supply Planners to ensure alignment.
Continuously refine forecasting and supply models to reflect updated assumptions and highlight risks and opportunities.

On-going outcomes that are measurable
On-Time Delivery: Maintain a minimum 98% on-time delivery rate across all product lines.
Inventory Turnover: Improve inventory turnover by 15% within 12 months.
Forecast Accuracy: Achieve 90% forecast accuracy within the first year, reducing variance between planned and actual demand.
Cost Reduction: Reduce overall supply chain costs by 10% annually through process improvements and supplier negotiations.
Customer Satisfaction: Increase customer satisfaction scores by 5% year-over-year by meeting service-level agreements.
Lead Time Reduction: Reduce average lead time by 20% within 18 months.
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, or a related technical field; equivalent work experience accepted.
Strong understanding of Lean Sourcing, Manufacturing, Six Sigma, pull systems, and inventory reduction methods.
Advanced training in supply chain and inventory strategies and practices.
Professional purchasing certifications (CPIM, CPM, CSCM, etc.) highly preferred.
Experience:
7-10 years of progressive operational and managerial experience in supply chain, manufacturing, procurement strategy, and demand planning.
Demonstrated experience in Project Management, Product Launch, and Life Cycle Management within a manufacturing environment.
Extensive experience in leading and executing complex projects with an emphasis on fostering collaborative partnerships.
Strong expertise in financial forecasting, negotiation, and contract management, with a deep understanding of risk mitigation and contract terms.
Advanced knowledge of procurement best practices, logistics, and inventory management, along with a sound understanding of business ethics and compliance.
Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams at all organizational levels.
Strong analytical, project management, resource management, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
Technology/Software:
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
Working experience with Microsoft NAV ERP Planning software.
Know-how related to implementing an MRP solution.
Aptitude with master data control programs, reporting, and operational planning usage.
Communication:
Proficient in both written and oral communication.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve SI&OP objectives.
