As the Director of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's warehouse and light manufacturing processes, with a focus on leadership, process improvement, and scaling operations. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CEO, where you will lead a team and work towards expanding the company’s operational footprint across multiple sites. You will ensure seamless operations in order management, inventory control, and light manufacturing while preparing the business for future growth. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership Lead and inspire a culture of operational excellence across the warehouse and light manufacturing teams, ensuring a positive work environment. Manage departmental budgets, resources, and timelines to achieve strong financial outcomes while meeting performance goals. Hire, develop, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and encouraging accountability across all levels. Operations Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse and light manufacturing operations, streamlining processes and maximizing productivity. Identify operational risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Drive process improvement initiatives by applying Lean Six Sigma and value stream mapping techniques to enhance operational efficiency. Oversee multi-site expansion efforts, including potential partnerships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) or opening new warehouse locations. Supply Chain & Inventory Management Collaborate with the warehouse manager and inventory team to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely product delivery. Develop efficient inventory control processes to minimize waste and improve material handling within the warehouse environment. Lead the transition into light manufacturing and assembly, establishing workflows for assembly steps, bills of materials, and manufacturing routings. Warehouse Operations Oversee warehouse logistics, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management, ensuring all warehouse functions run smoothly. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that the warehouse environment is organized, clean, and efficient in line with 5S principles. Establish key metrics such as order accuracy, fulfillment times, and inventory accuracy to drive warehouse performance improvements. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred. Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience in process improvement methodologies. Proven leadership experience managing teams in warehouse, logistics, or light manufacturing environments. Strong financial acumen with P&L responsibility. Ability to make decisive operational decisions while fostering a collaborative, supportive workplace culture. Experience with scaling operations, including multi-site management. Benefits
