Job Summary:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse in an oil manufacturing company. They will manage the team responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products to ensure timely and efficient delivery to customers. This individual will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements and strive to improve processes to meet the company's goals continuously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the warehouse team and allocate tasks to ensure smooth operations and high-performance.
- Oversee product receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards and provide training to team members on safety procedures.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations and continuously improve processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Utilize warehouse management software to track inventory, monitor performance, and generate reports.
- Conduct periodic warehouse audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify and address any issues that may affect warehouse operations, including equipment malfunctions, personnel issues, and supply chain disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of products.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field is preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in an oil manufacturing company
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to warehouse operations
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Experience with warehouse management software and inventory control systems
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Forklift certification is preferred
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move about the warehouse for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- The work environment will include exposure to warehouse conditions, including cold and hot temperatures, dust, and noise.
- The Warehouse Lead may be required to work extended hours or weekends as needed to meet business demands.
