ESCAPE Ministries is searching for an Executive Director who will take a lead role in strategic planning and executing the mission and vision of ESCAPE Ministries. The Executive Director will be a collaborative community strategist who will intentionally work together with donors, local churches, schools, agencies, and other partners to sustain and grow our programs and ministries. The Executive Director will identify, develop, and grow donor relationships. Developing leaders to reach young people from every people group and grow loving relationships with them will also be a goal of our Executive Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
Organizational Leadership and Strategy
Work collaboratively with the board to cast vision, clarify organizational goals, and determine strategy. Support the growth of current ministry programs and provide direction and influence on the development of future programming. Oversee financial planning and management including leading the annual budgeting process, monitoring cash flow, and fulfilling all financial reporting requirements. Build a positive culture of faith that attracts quality board members, staff, volunteers, donors, and participants in Escape’s programs. Donor and Key Stakeholder Development
Oversee annual fund development plan creation and execution. Identify and engage new individuals, corporations, churches, schools, and others as future donors, volunteers, and partners. Retain and further develop existing donor and partner relationships. Create community awareness of Escape Ministries’ mission and programs by sharing in various settings including frequent public speaking engagements. Staff Development
Manage, empower, and develop a talented staff. Oversee the hiring of future staff as the organization grows. Ministry Development
Lead the organization in a reflective journey towards equity, diversity, and inclusion at all levels of the organization. Qualifications:
The preferred Executive Director will have a bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of professional work experience with at least two of those years leading staff. Qualified candidates must also have proficiency in basic organizational finance, strategic planning, casting vision and strong communication skills. Fundraising and donor development experience is helpful but a candidate who can build authentic community relations and is comfortable making donation requests can also be successful. Non-profit experience is also helpful, but a background in for-profit business, ministry or other related roles may also be considered. Candidates must value diversity, equity and inclusion and have a desire to positively impact the youth in our community.
