The Project:
Mace is seeking a full-time procurement manager for life science and manufacturing and technology projects to work directly with our clients on capital projects.

You'll Be Responsible For: Responsible for the procurement of work packages collaborating with package managers and reporting into the project commercial lead.
Provides risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms, mitigating risks and protecting work packages and project margins through cost control systems.
Responsible for the procurement and management of subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
Procurement of subcontract packages and materials including collating tender documentation and administering tenders.
Accountable for commercial package management and reporting to the commercial lead.
Establishes cost control systems including administering client and subcontract changes.
Establishes risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
Mitigates risks and protect package/project margin.
Enhances profit by seeking opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering.
Operates and collaborates as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll Need to Have: A degree in commercial management or relevant qualification.
Excellent communication skills.
You'll Also Have: Commercial and financial acumen.
Previous experience working within the life science sector on capital projects.
Proven experience in establishing cost control systems, leading value engineering and cost exercises and preparing monthly commercial reports.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
